Princess Cruises will make history as they announce their first-ever homeport in Central Florida. The renowned "Love Boat" brand has decided to relocate its Caribbean Princess ship to Port Canaveral for its winter season, starting in late November 2024.
This move will allow passengers to embark on exciting eastern and western Caribbean itineraries directly from Port Canaveral.
It will sail four to 14-day cruises, including highlights such as a four-day Turks & Caicos Getaway over Thanksgiving, eight-day Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings, and a six-day Eastern Caribbean with Turks & Caicos. Guests can also combine itineraries for a 14-day vacation.
Sales for Caribbean Princess cruises from Port Canaveral begin on May 24, 2023.
Princess Cruises aims to provide each guest a personalized and seamless experience through their innovative Princess Medallion technology. This state-of-the-art system offers numerous onboard conveniences, including contactless payment for onboard purchases and select port establishments, expedited embarkation, keyless stateroom entry, flexible muster locations, a friends and family locator, as well as the ability to order food, drinks, retail items, and services through a smart phone or stateroom TV.
The move to Port Canaveral is part of Princess's expansion in North America to cater to drive markets like Central Florida. The CEO of Port Canaveral, Capt. John Murray expressed excitement about the collaboration.
