Welcome to the Styled 4 Travel podcast blog a place where I share the stories behind the journeys, both mine and yours. I’m Dianna Janas, the owner of Style 4U Travel and a proud Travel Best Bets Connected Agent. Just like in my podcast, I want to take you behind the scenes of my love affair with travel and how it shaped the work I do today as your travel stylist.
How It All Began
My love story with travel started long before I became a professional advisor. Two months before our wedding, my husband Keith surprised me with tickets for our honeymoon an unforgettable cruise on the Carnival Holiday. He revealed the surprise during a romantic picnic at Fort George Park, complete with champagne.
I still remember the butterflies in my stomach as we prepared for that first big adventure. When we finally set sail in 1992, we were wide-eyed, full of excitement, and ready to see the world together.

Seven years later, when our son Mavrick was just 10 months old, he embarked on his first cruise on the original Sun Princess. From then on, each year of his childhood featured a family cruise, frequently paired with a Magical Visit to see Mickey and Friends. Why? Because for busy moms, cruising offers one of the most relaxing and fulfilling vacation options with children. There's no need for constant packing and unpacking, there are countless activities on board, and it provides the opportunity to reconnect as a family while still enjoying some personal time.
From juggling strollers and diaper bags on board to celebrating milestones across the globe, travel became part of our family’s rhythm and foundation. These experiences taught me early on that travel isn’t just a vacation it’s a gift.
That’s something I dive into often on the Styled 4 Travel podcast: how the moments we create when we travel big and small become the memories that last a lifetime. Beyond the Ordinary
Over the years, my family’s travels have stretched far and wide: living as expats in Ecuador for nearly a decade, volunteering in Israel, and exploring Europe, the Middle East, South America, Africa, and beyond.
But what stayed with me most wasn’t the bucket-list attractions. It was the laughter over a meal I didn’t expect to love. The quiet awe of watching a glacier calve from my cruise balcony. The way a destination lingers in your heart long after you’ve returned home.
On the podcast, I share these kinds of stories to remind you that travel isn’t about rushing through checklists it’s about styling experiences that enrich your life.
From Salon Chair to Styled Travel
Before I became a travel stylist, I spent 25+ years behind the chair as a salon owner in Terrace, BC. It was there I discovered the power of personalization: when you truly listen, you can transform someone’s experience completely.
That’s the same philosophy I bring to travel today and one of the reasons I created the Styled 4 Travel podcast. Just like I share tips and real stories there, my role as your travel stylist is to take care of the details so you can press pause, reconnect, and recharge.
Who I Style Travel For
On both my podcast and in my business, I focus on helping:
Busy professionals who need a genuine break from the hustle
Active families who want to reconnect through meaningful adventures
Purpose-driven adventurers who crave more than just “a trip”
These travellers aren’t looking for the cheapest deal or the flashiest resort—they want high-quality, intentional escapes that fit their life.
Why You Can Trust My Expertise
Alongside my own travel experiences, I’ve invested in extensive professional training. I hold my Accredited Cruise Counsellor (ACC) certification with CLIA and have completed supplier training with leading cruise lines, resorts, and tour companies.
That combination—personal storytelling and professional expertise—is what makes both my podcast and my styled travel approach different. You’re not just hearing about travel, you’re learning from someone who has lived it, studied it, and designed it.
Styled Escapes, Styled Conversations
Whether I’m helping a client plan a wellness-inspired cruise, a family adventure, or a balanced itinerary that allows space to breathe, my goal is the same: to style an escape that feels effortless, meaningful, and unforgettable.
That’s also the heart of the Styled 4 Travel podcast candid conversations about how travel can fit into your busy life, and how it can bring you back to yourself.
Let’s Turn Dreams Into Memories
I’ve been married nearly 35 years, raised and homeschooled my son, juggled three businesses, and navigated the ups and downs of family and work-life balance. I get what it means to be busy and that’s why I design escapes that breathe life back into your schedule.
When I’m not planning travel from my home base in British Columbia, you’ll find me exploring new destinations, running (always training for something!), knitting something cozy with a glass of wine or coffee, or sneaking in a little Nintendo Switch time.
And through it all, I keep coming back to this truth: travel is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves and the people we love.
So, whether you’re tuning into the Styled 4 Travel podcast or planning your next adventure with me as your travel stylist, my goal is the same to help you turn your dreams into memories, one styled journey at a time.
✨ Listen to the Styled 4 Travel podcast and let’s design your next styled escape together.
